Emu eggshells are different from most eggs. They are naturally "dark green" to almost "black" in color. It is because of this that the question of WHY? came up. Edie sent off a large sample to a Lab and asked for an analysis, particularily the Mineral and Amino acid content. The lab questioned  her sanity, and basically advised it would be a waste of time and money, eggshell is eggshell right? Wrong.

Emu eggshell is an excellent source of Calcium about 44%, and has a 97% absorption/bioavailability rating, but it is much more.
